The final programme of the PhD course

The PhD course is intended for young scholars who are either preparing, or have just finished a doctoral dissertation in Latin Linguistics.

The course is coordinated by Dr. Olga SPEVAK (University of Toulouse).

Topics Covered:

Statistical Analysis of Textual Data and Latin Linguistics (Prof. Dominique Longrée, Liège)
Latin Syntax and Word Order (Dr. Olga Spevak, Toulouse)
Latin Discourse Linguistics: Deixis and Anaphora (Prof. Caroline Kroon, Amsterdam)

Participants are expected to prepare for the course by studying relevant material; during the course, they will perform other research activities. Those performing well will receive a certificate which they may use for their doctoral program at home.
The course corresponds to 10 hours of on-site training and 35 hours of preparation (45 hours in total – 1,5 ECTS credits).

The application needs to be supported by the thesis supervisor, who is kindly asked to email a letter of support to Olga Spevak (olga.spevak@univ-tlse2.fr).
