PhD Course

June 18-19, 2023 

The PhD course is intended for young scholars who are either preparing, or have just finished a doctoral dissertation in Latin Linguistics.

The course will be coordinated by Dr. Olga SPEVAK (University of Toulouse).

Topics Covered:

Discourse Cohesion (Prof. Caroline Kroon, Amsterdam)
Statistical Analysis of Textual Data and Latin Linguistics (Prof. Dominique Longrée, Liège)
Latin Syntax and Word Order (Dr. Olga Spevak, Toulouse)

Participants are expected to prepare for the course by studying relevant material; during the course, they will perform other research activities. Those performing well will receive a certificate which they may use for their doctoral program at home.
The course corresponds to one and a half days of on-site training and one week of preparation (45 hours in total – 1,5 ECTS credits).
